Reader Comment: Are There "Teaser" Chapters We Can See?

This week week a reader sent in a really good idea;
Hey guys- I've really enjoyed what you have to say about these books but I've never been able to read one for myself. Is there anyway that you could post a chapter or something on your website so that I can see the writing style and everything? Thanks a bunch, Tabby C.
This is a really good point. It is always important to know the sort of book you are about to read. There have been a couple of times when I started reading a book only to stop two chapters into it thinking "Oh, I wish I had looked this up for content/writing style before-hand."
A great place to check out books online before you buy a hard copy is Gutenberg.org. Though I have read a few books on computer devices it has been my preference to read the hard copy (it's not as hard on the eyes and I enjoy taking notes in the margin). But I normally look up the book on Gutenberg and do a "quick skim".
As the "teaser chapter" for this week, I have posted Chapter 7 of The Coral Island below. Thanks for the great idea, Tabby! ~Joshua Titus
