James Fenimore CooperQuick historical note; Yesterday was the 220th birthday of James Fenimore Cooper, and coincidentally, or rather, providentially, the day before that was the 158th anniversary of his death! (He died one day before his 62nd birthday, Sept. 15, 1851.)
Cooper was really America's first historical fiction author and one of the men who truly shaped the course of America through his books and stories. He also happens to be one of my favorite authors. To read more on Cooper click here.
